March 9, 2016 by Amber Masters

Hi Friends!  I recently wrote a post about my positive feelings toward the NWEA MAP test. I am excited to be sharing a short series of blog posts about my experiences with the test.  You can read my original post here! And just to be clear...no, my posts are not sponsored by NWEA. Sorry, that question made me chuckle!I've simply been using MAP for a few years in my ... NWEA Testing in the Primary Grades

February 2, 2016 by Amber Masters

Hi Friends!Guess what?!I'm going to be a little controversial today.I'm going to talk about...TESTING (DUN, DUN, DUUUUN!!!)I know, I know, it can be a super-scary word. There's so much talk about how we're testing students too much, (and I completely agree with this) BUT, we never talk about the positive components of testing (yes, there are some). This is because the focus is always on ... Well Hello There Turkeys!

November 13, 2015 by Amber Masters

Hi Friends!Happy Thursday! I can't even believe we are officially two weeks away from Thanksgiving. We've been so busy getting our learn on in kindergarten that I've just lost track of time. I'm so pleased with the progress my kinders have made so far.  We have had a lot of changes this year but the biggest change has been our transition to all-day/every day kindergarten. In the past ... We read stories, sang songs, played, learned routines, and most importantly, enjoyed being together. 🩷 I can’t wait to watch friendships blossom, confidence grow, and so much learning happen this year! 📚 ✨

This one, however, will for sure be running well into the school year. 😂🏡

After years of looking for land, designing our home, clearing the property, and then making more changes to the house plans (because apparently we weren’t done making decisions 😂), we’re excited to say… WE BROKE GROUND! 🚜🎉

We’re so excited for the journey ahead and plan to enjoy the ride! 🏡🤍✨

🔥✨ It’s been one week and I’m still smili 🔥✨ It’s been one week and I’m still smiling from my first-ever Campfire at FlyingHorseFarms!

Flying Horse Farms is this magical camp in Central Ohio, where kids with serious illnesses get to just be kids — to laugh, play, and make memories that heal in ways medicine can’t. 🏕️✨

Camp isn’t just a place — it’s a feeling. A reminder that when all kids get to be kids, the world shines a little brighter. 🩷

Seeing that magic up close reminded me how powerful community can be when we come together. 🫶🏻

But here’s the best part: camp is 100% free for every family — all thanks to incredible volunteers and donors who make the magic possible. 🙌

If you’ve been waiting for a sign to get involved… this is it. ✨
Join me and be a part of something truly amazing!

💚 Volunteer: Be the reason a camper smiles!

💚 Donate: Every dollar keeps campfires glowing and hearts healing.
