Pumping During the School Year

July 20, 2022 by Amber Masters

Pumping at work was something I had never really thought about until I had my daughter, Ella. No one had explained the realities of trying to pump, and work as an elementary school teacher. The pressure of providing nourishment for your own child, while juggling classroom duties was overwhelming at times. I reminded myself often that my body was made to do this. That helped me feel empowered, and ... Read More about Pumping During the School Year

Back to School Lunch Ideas

August 17, 2020 by Amber Masters

It's hard to believe that another school year is just around the corner. Getting back into the swing of things is tricky after weeks of freedom, but I always find that I'm ready for routine by the end of July. Part of that routine is getting back to packing lunches at night, so I'm not stressing in the morning! I'm always looking for new lunch ideas and thought it would be fun to share some of my ... We also use this time to plan for the upcoming school year. Whether you're a first year teacher, or a seasoned teacher, chances are you're thinking about things you'll have to purchase for your classroom. Now just to be ... My Scribble

September 10, 2018 by Amber Masters

The struggle to find quality mentor texts for writing workshop can be real sometimes. So, I feel like I need to tell the world (or my little slice of cyberspace) when I do find a mentor text that I'm excited about! The main character of the story Scribble, doesn't think he is different until he meets a drawing for the first time. Scribble feels left out but ends up teaching the rest of the ... Number Path Freebie

September 5, 2018 by Amber Masters

Hi Friends! Yesterday I posted a picture of our number paths on my Instagram page and have been getting lots of questions about them! I'm going to keep this short, and to the point. I learned recently that number lines may not be the best tool for some of our younger learners. Number lines can be confusing for some students, as they are based on a length model.  A number path is a counting ... Read More about Number Path Freebie

We read stories, sang songs, played, learned routines, and most importantly, enjoyed being together. 🩷 I can’t wait to watch friendships blossom, confidence grow, and so much learning happen this year! 📚 ✨

This one, however, will for sure be running well into the school year. 😂🏡

After years of looking for land, designing our home, clearing the property, and then making more changes to the house plans (because apparently we weren’t done making decisions 😂), we’re excited to say… WE BROKE GROUND! 🚜🎉

We’re so excited for the journey ahead and plan to enjoy the ride! 🏡🤍✨

🔥✨ It’s been one week and I’m still smili 🔥✨ It’s been one week and I’m still smiling from my first-ever Campfire at FlyingHorseFarms!

Flying Horse Farms is this magical camp in Central Ohio, where kids with serious illnesses get to just be kids — to laugh, play, and make memories that heal in ways medicine can’t. 🏕️✨

Camp isn’t just a place — it’s a feeling. A reminder that when all kids get to be kids, the world shines a little brighter. 🩷

Seeing that magic up close reminded me how powerful community can be when we come together. 🫶🏻

But here’s the best part: camp is 100% free for every family — all thanks to incredible volunteers and donors who make the magic possible. 🙌

If you’ve been waiting for a sign to get involved… this is it. ✨
Join me and be a part of something truly amazing!

💚 Volunteer: Be the reason a camper smiles!

💚 Donate: Every dollar keeps campfires glowing and hearts healing.
