End of Year Gifts!

May 31, 2014 by Amber Masters

Hey, Hey!Oh goodness, the past few weeks have been crazy! Between all of the assessments, assemblies, and special events, I feel like I barely had time to teach during the month of May. I had been thinking and thinking about what I wanted to make for the kids' end of the year gifts. I always struggle with this because I have 50 students. I would love to buy them all books but it's just not ... Read More about End of Year Gifts!

School Safety

May 11, 2014 by Amber Masters

As the school year is coming to an end, I find myself reevaluating so many things in my classroom. I'm thinking of all the organizational changes I want to make, and about the new cutesy things I will display in my room next year. One of the areas that I think we all need to reevaluate, is how we keep our kids safe. I hate that this is even a discussion but nonetheless it is the most important ... “Skype”ing Around in Kindergarten!

April 29, 2014 by Amber Masters

My darlings are so excited for Wednesday when we will be skyping again with our classmate in Hong Kong! Our friend left for Hong Kong after Spring Break. She is spending a couple of months there for her dad's job, but will be back to join her friends in first grade!! Earlier in the year, we studied maps and explored Flat Stanley. Students sent their flat selves to family and friends all over the ... Read More about “Skype”ing Around in Kindergarten!

How to Writing in Kindergarten!

March 15, 2014 by Amber Masters

We recently started our unit on informational writing. It's so fun to see the wonderful ideas the kids come up with! They love writing for a purpose and are so eager to teach others about things they know so much about. We started the unit  by exploring some different informational texts. One of my favorite mentor texts for this unit is "How to Heal a Broken Wing" by Bob Graham. The ... Read More about How to Writing in Kindergarten!

This one, however, will for sure be running well into the school year. 😂🏡

After years of looking for land, designing our home, clearing the property, and then making more changes to the house plans (because apparently we weren’t done making decisions 😂), we’re excited to say… WE BROKE GROUND! 🚜🎉

We’re so excited for the journey ahead and plan to enjoy the ride! 🏡🤍✨

🔥✨ It’s been one week and I’m still smili 🔥✨ It’s been one week and I’m still smiling from my first-ever Campfire at FlyingHorseFarms!

Flying Horse Farms is this magical camp in Central Ohio, where kids with serious illnesses get to just be kids — to laugh, play, and make memories that heal in ways medicine can’t. 🏕️✨

Camp isn’t just a place — it’s a feeling. A reminder that when all kids get to be kids, the world shines a little brighter. 🩷

Seeing that magic up close reminded me how powerful community can be when we come together. 🫶🏻

But here’s the best part: camp is 100% free for every family — all thanks to incredible volunteers and donors who make the magic possible. 🙌

If you’ve been waiting for a sign to get involved… this is it. ✨
Join me and be a part of something truly amazing!
