In other news…….I received my first Stitch Fix!!!! Let me tell you all about Stitch Fix! It is an online personal styling service. When you sign up, you fill out a brief survey that acquires your sizes, styles you prefer and items that you would like to avoid. You can also link your Pinterest styleboard to give your stylist more info! So then, for a $20 styling fee, a personal stylist will select 5 pieces for you!
Next, the items are delivered to your door for FREE. The best part is that you try all the items on in the comfort of your own home. You can pair the pieces you receive with items you already have in your closet, along with your own accessories! Keep the items you want, and simply send the others back in the pre-addressed envelope. By the way…..returns are FREE! You are only billed for the pieces that you keep. The $20 styling fee is applied to the items you keep!
Now, lets get into all the goodies!!
My first piece was the gorgeous necklace! |
This top was my second piece. |
I fell in love with this blouse as soon as I pulled it out! |
My fourth piece! I do love maxis! |
And my last piece. It’s a pink and tan…I know it’s a bit hard to see! |
I loved all of the colors of each piece of clothing. I felt that all of them were things that I would definitely wear. Now it was time to try them on……!!
So this green top had a super cute pattern but was not flattering on my body type. The top was super loose and there was this band across the bottom that I didn’t care for.
I was super sad to see that this darling orange blouse was a bit too long for me 🙁
The cutesy skirt was too long and a bit too clingy on my bottom to wear to school!
This next dress I loved but I already have a chevron maxi dress, plus it was a bit long…. so I couldn’t let myself spend $88 on this dress! I am however keeping the gorgeous necklace!!
P.S. Don’t mind the yucky brown baseboard and blue carpet.(gag!)…..we’re in the middle of remodeling! 🙂
All in all, I feel like this was definitely a success! If I can get at least one great piece out of every fix then I am on my way to a fabulous wardrobe! My next stitch will be here
in July!!
